The "tmgutil.ini" file can be modified to customize the behavior of TMG Utility. It's not usually necessary, and recommended only for advanced users. If you modify tmgutil.ini, you must remember to re-apply those changes after you install an update of TMG Utility.
[Advanced] Section
The following parameters can be specified in the [Advanced] section.
Name-Marr Tag=label of Name-Marr tag
The Name-Marr Tag parameter controls which name tag type is ignored when you set the "Ignore Name-Marr names" option of the Add Standard Name feature. The default is "Name-Marr".
Set Living.Ancestor Years=years
The Set Living.Ancestor Years parameter is used by the Set Living=N feature and controls how many years are used to subtract from the threshold year for each generation between the subject and an ancestor of the subject. The default is 60.
Set Living.Descendant Years=years
The Set Living.Descendant Years parameter is used by the Set Living=N feature and controls how many years are used to add to the threshold year for each generation between the subject and a descendant of the subject. The default is 10.
