Background

TMG Utility requires a recent, working version of the Windows Script facility. Windows Script is pre-installed on Windows Vista and all subsequent versions of Microsoft Windows including Windows 7, Windows 8, and Windows 10. Follow the directions below to install Windows Script on Windows XP or prior.

Step by Step

  1. Browse to the Windows Script 5.6 download page. Please note: Microsoft links change fairly often; if the link doesn't work, try searching or browsing the Microsoft Download Center, or contact me.
  2. Download the install file. Remember the location where you save the file.
  3. After the download completes, double-click the file to start the install process for Windows Script. In some cases, you will be prompted to reboot your computer. After the reboot, TMG Utility should work properly.
