Description
Edit Exhibit Image Map helps define HTML image maps for external image exhibits that will be used with Second Site (version 1.5 or greater). Image maps allow authors to specify multiple clickable areas within a single image. With a group photo, for example, clicking on a specific person can open the web page that includes the narrative for that person.
This feature is intended for use with external exhibits, but you can also use it to edit an image map for any image file whose format is recognized by TMG Utility.
Step by Step
- Choose Edit Image Map from the function tree.
- Click the [Edit Exhibit Image Map] button to create or modify an image map for an external image exhibit. Then select an exhibit from the list, and click the [OK] button to open the Image Map Editor.

For external exhibits, the image map is stored in the exhibit's description field. For other image files, the image map is stored in a file in the same location with the same name and the file type ".map".
